Hope Won

Picture above is at capitol hill (Seattle) where there was a street party when we found out obama won. this happened down the street from my school and my friends and i joined in the party. people were literally dancing and drinking in the streets. how many presidents elected had people dancing and celebrating in the streets?
damn, i love my neighborhood. it's cracy. it felt like new years! we were chanting "USA" ! there was this strange patriotism among us alternative indie youth. singing the national anthem. singing along to journey's "don't stop believing..."
change can happen people! we need hope, we need to work together, and yes we can!
can we take these political message into our everyday lives? already in class, we were talking about hope, and yes we can in the messages we give our students to motivate them to work towards success.
a change is gonna come. so i'm thinking, to continue to work towards the changes i want in my life. have good relationships with people, develop my career goals and plans, enjoy grad school, enjoy seattle....
